INVESTIGATION REPORTS
The Committee carries out review investigations on its own initiative or at the request of the Chamber of Representatives, the competent minister, or the competent authority. The Committee may also open an investigation on the basis of a complaint or denunciation by a citizen or civil servant.
Each review investigation is closed with the drafting of an investigation report which contains conclusions on the directives, activities or methods of the services reviewed that may jeopardise the rights and freedoms of citizens or that indicate a lack of coordination and efficiency. Recommendations may be made with a view to rectifying any gaps noted.
After forwarding its investigation report with the Monitoring Committee and the competent minister(s), the Committee may decide to make all or part of the report public.
